Penne with Spicy Sausage and Roasted Red Peppers

  • 1 package Contessa Vodka Chicken Penne

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 links Italian sausage, sliced

  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 12 ounce jar roasted red peppers, drained

  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • 1/4 cup water


  • Thaw sauce per package instructions. Set aside.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and sautee for 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Add garlic and sautee until sausage turns brown on all sides.

  • Add Contessa Vodka Chicken Penne, sauce, peppers, chili flakes and water. Cover and cook for 6 to 7 minutes, until thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally.
