Beer Battered Fried Shrimp

Ingredients:



  • 12 ounces Contessa large Uncooked Tail-On Shrimp, thawed




  • 1/4 cup flour




  • 3/4 cup stale beer




  • 1 egg, lightly beaten




  • 1 tablespoon sugar




  • 1/2 teaspoon salt




  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper




  • peanut oil for deep frying




Steps:



  • Prepare the batter by mixing the beer, flour, egg, sugar, salt and pepper.




  • Using a deep fryer heat oil to 375º F. and dip the shrimp into the batter and fry until golden brown.




  • Drain on paper towels.
