Kimberly Frantz
Ever since Kimberly Frantz's grandmother gave her a cookbook for her hope chest, she's been impressing family, friends and judges with her adventurous recipes.
"The minute I got the book, I wanted to start cooking," Kimberly said. The true test of her culinary skills came when she made a frozen dessert on her own. "My little brother loved it and said I should cook all the time."
When preparing shrimp dishes, Kimberly relies on the consistent fresh quality of Contessa shrimp at least three times a month. "The shrimp always tastes great," the stay-at-home mom said. "This is important when I'm creating new recipes."
Kimberly loves experimenting with regional flavors and dishes she has sampled during her travels. The Denver, CO resident chose the distinguished spices of the Southwest to create the winning recipe for Contessa's Summer Recipe Contest.
Kimberly's Sizzling Citrus Margarita Shrimp recipe earned her $500 in cash, Contessa products and merchandising.
In addition to serving the shrimp over rice, Kimberly has used this recipe for shrimp tacos and as a Southwestern green salad topping. "The possibilities are endless, but it's the flavor that makes it outstanding no matter how you serve it."
