"I wanted to create something with rich homemade flavors. In the olden days, soups were made the day before to bring out the full flavor of the ingredients. With Contessa products, that's not necessary because the intense flavors are already there," says the grandmother of 12.
"I like to try new things and explore the idea of recipes as a starting point for something else - my children never knew what they were going to eat from one day to the next. I've always cooked," says the retired writer "but my children are all grown with families of their own now, and I miss cooking for a family."
